Teen Ambassadors of Hope Update 2

Hello Teen Ambassadors,

Leadership Training:

I hope your summer is going well and that you’ve had some time to decompress from schoolwork.  Please join us back at Texas Advocacy Project’s office on Friday, June 23 from 12pm to 1:30pm for the Leadership Training facilitated by Dr. Barry Bales of UT’s LBJ School of Public Affairs.  Don’t miss this opportunity to hear this accomplished speaker.  Please RSVP to Jeremy’s email.  Location:  1524 S. IH-35, Ste 350, Austin, TX  78704

New Award:

In addition to honoring the Ambassador of the Year based on fundraising, we will be adding a new award at this year’s luncheon called the Outstanding Impact Award.  This award will recognize the teen who’s had the most creative or widespread impact on creating awareness of healthy relationships and teen dating violence in his or her community.  And the best part… this winner will be voted on by their peers, all the current Ambassadors.  It’s a great way to recognize each other for your hard work.  Please keep us updated on your awareness campaign efforts so we can put the ballot together and email it out after July 7th.

Awards Luncheon:

Each Ambassador and two guests are invited to be our guests at a celebratory luncheon on Sunday, July 23 at The Westin Downtown, 310 E 5th St, from 11am – 2pm.  Additional guests are encouraged to attend, so please invite your friends and family members.  Additional tickets for $60/each may be purchased at https://www.signmeup.com/site/reg/register.aspx?fid=XR2V9H7 .  Lunch will be served, followed by our program and awards presentation.  Don't miss the opportunity to hear our special guest speaker and find out who will be awarded the Teen Ambassador of the Year 2017 and the Outstanding Impact Award!  Another email will be sent at the beginning of July requesting your RSVP for this event.

Thanks to all of you who have provided updates and photos of your campaign efforts.  Keep them coming!
